Abstract

Návrh galérie súčasného umenia v Hradci Králové transformuje zanedbaný vnútroblok s dielňami na otvorený, prechodný verejný priestor. Urbanistické riešenie stavia na princípe 15-minútového mesta a obnovuje blokovú štruktúru cez preluky. Vnútroblok je sprístupnený, premenený a doplnený zeleňou. Architektonicky je návrh rozdelený na tri trakty s dominantnou pasážou – foyer galérie. Výstavné priestory rôznych typov a veľkostí sú navrhnuté pre rozmanité formy súčasného umenia, doplnené o prednáškový sál, administratívnu časť, kaviareň a ďalšie komunitné funkcie. Konštrukčne ide o kombináciu železobetónu a oceľovej priehradovej konštrukcie, pričom technické riešenie kladie dôraz na energetickú udržateľnosť – galéria využíva tepelné čerpadlá, fotovoltaiku, zelené strechy a akumuláciu dažďovej vody. Cieľom návrhu je vytvoriť inkluzívny, kultúrne aktívny a ekologický verejný priestor pre mesto.

The design of the contemporary art gallery in Hradec Králové transforms a neglected inner courtyard filled with workshops into an open, accessible public space. The urban concept is based on the principle of the 15-minute city and restores the block structure through infill development. The courtyard is made accessible, reimagined, and enriched with greenery. Architecturally, the project is divided into three volumes with a dominant central passageway – the gallery foyer. Exhibition spaces of various types and sizes are designed to accommodate a wide range of contemporary art forms, complemented by a lecture hall, administrative facilities, a café, and other community functions. The structure combines reinforced concrete and steel trusses, while the technical systems emphasize energy sustainability – the gallery utilizes ground-source heat pumps, photovoltaics, green roofs, and rainwater harvesting. The aim of the design is to create an inclusive, culturally vibrant, and environmentally conscious public space for the city.
