Thelayered LiMO2 (M=Mn,Co,andNidenotedasNCM),havebeenextensivelystudiedandconsideredtobeapromisingcandidateofcathodematerialforfutureLIBsbecauseoftheirhightheoreticalcapacity,lowcost,safety,highcyclingstabilityandlowtoxicity.However,itisconsideredthattheneedtocontinuewiththesestudies,tobeabletoimprovetheirelectrochemicalbehaviorespeciallywithrespecttoitslowinitialcoulombefficiencyandpoorratecapability,isstillpresent.
