Metody klasifikace plazmidů bez zarovnání

Abstract

Táto bakalárska práca sa venuje klasifikacií bakteriálnych plazmidov s využitím metód bez zarovnania. Bolo implementovaných šesť metód patriacich do troch kategórií - metódy založené na slovách, informačnej teórií a grafickej reprezentácií a boli otestované na plazmidoch Klebsiella pneumoniae a Staphylococcus aureus. Výstupy boli porovnané s online nástrojmy pMLST a PlasmidFinder. Výsledky ukazujú, že spomedzi šiestich implementovaných metód dokážu štyri efektívne klasifikovať plazmidy bez potreby použitia referenčných databáz.

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the classification of bacterial plasmids using alignment-free methods. Six methods belonging to three categories of methods - word-based, information theory-based and graphical representation methods were implemented and tested on Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus plasmids. The outputs were compared to online tools pMLST and PlasmidFinder. The results show that four of the six implemented methods can effectively classify plasmids without the need for reference databases.
