Abstract
The paper focuses on sustainable housing development (physical structures) and sustainable housing (the activities and social ties related to living in buildings). Although developed societies perceive help in ensuring decent housing as their obvious duty, there are currently up to 3 million people in Europe alone who lack such housing. The offer of quality affordable housing is still insufficient.
