dc.description.abstract | ZnO is a material that is biocompatible, biodegradable, and has low toxicity. Recently it has emerged as an interesting material for use in biomedicine, cosmetics and agriculture. Chemical synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles was investigated due to its potential ease of preparation and upscalability. Ethanol was used as a solvent that promotes the continued growth of the as-prepared nanoparticles. This work presents facile methods of ZnO nanoparticle preparation and a potential method for ZnO nanowire growth at room temperature. | en |
