METROPOLE ŽENEVSKÉHO JEZERA – MÉTROPOLE LÉMANIQUE

Abstract

Táto kniha spája projekt diplomovej práce s teoretickým prístupom k téme „Metropola Ženevského jereza – Métropole Lémnique“. Zameriava sa na premenu bývalej priemyselnej oblasti Sévelin, ktorá leží neďaleko centra mesta Lausanne. Vďaka analýzam a pozorovaniam prostredia je možné vnímať aktuálne nedostatky v prepojení jednotlivých častí územia a chýbajúci kvalitný verejný priestor v tejto oblasti. S odkazom na teórie Jana Gehla, Hermana Hertzbergera a Duplex architektov je snaha v práci skúmať predpoklady, kvality a význam priestoru v rámci mestského života a jeho sociálny potenciál. Práca sa snaží navrhnúť vhodné premeny prostredia v dvoch rozdielnych mierkach. V mierke urbanistickej štúdie a v mierke architektonického návrhu jednotlivých budov. Cieľom celej práce je navrhnutie novej identity pre oblasť Sévelin, ktorá by v sebe mala odrážať živý a heterogénny charakter, ktorý by zároveň odkazoval i na minulosť tejto štvrte.This book combines a thesis project with a theoretical approach to the topic "The Metropolis of the Geneva Lake - Métropole Lémnique". It focuses on the transformation of the former industrial area of Sévelin, which lies close to the city centre of Lausanne. Thanks to analyses and observations of the environment, it is possible to perceive the current deficiencies in the connectivity of the different parts of the area and the lack of quality public space in the area. With reference to the theories of Jan Gehl, Herman Hertzberger and Duplex architects, the thesis seeks to explore the assumptions, qualities and significance of space within urban life and its social potential. The thesis seeks to suggest appropriate transformations of the environment at two different scales. The scale of the urban study and the scale of the architectural design of individual buildings. The aim of the whole work is to propose a new identity for the Sévelin area, which should reflect a lively and heterogeneous character that also refers to the neighbourhood's past.
