Městský sál ve Znojmě

Abstract

Znojmo – v letní sezóně je srdcem kultury moravské vinařské oblasti. V zimě už však vlhké a chladné ulice nelákají. Kam však zajít na kulturu většího měřítka, na ples či koncert zahraničního interpreta? Současné prostory nestačí. Jsou tedy impulzem pro nové hledání, pro nový městský sál. Zvolená parcela pro umístění kulturního sálu se nachází na náměstí Svobody. Nový sál vytváří z neuchopitelného, nečitelného prostoru definované plochy, které mají své konkrétní uživatele. Jedinečné umístění domu do pohledových os připojujících se ulic staví stavbu spíše do pozice sochy než domu se vchodem a hospodářským dvorem. Této roli se přizpůsobuje jednak hmota, ale i rozmístění provozů. Vzniká dům mnoha tváří a mnoha prostor. Nový městský sál je dynamickou stavbou definovanou dvěma zakřivenými plochami, které utváří jednotlivé prostory uvnitř i pohledové dominanty zvenku.

Znojmo – in the summer season, it is the heart of the culture of the Moravian wine region. However, wintry cold and wet streets are not very tempting. But where to go for big event, a ball or a concert of foreign artist? Current spaces are not enough. They are the impetus for a new searching, for new culture centre. The chosen parcel for location of the culture centre is located in Svoboda square. The new hall transforms an unreadable, unreachable area in a clearly defined space that has its own users. The unique construction location built in correspondence with visual axis of adjacent streets places the building rather in the position of statue than a house with an entrance and agricultural courtyard. This role is achieved by adaptation of overall mass and facilities&operations placement. Arising house is unique from each side, still to be explored. New culture centre is a dynamic building defined by two distinctive curved surfaces that shapes individual spaces inside and visual dominants from outside.
