Cesty jako zdroj inspirace pro urozené stavebníky období romantismu a jejich architekty a stavitele

Abstract

Příspěvek se zabývá cestováním jako zdrojem inspirace pro stavební aktivity a krajinářskou tvorbu šlechty v českých zemích, k jejichž realizaci došlo v období romantismu. Text se zaměřuje na výpravy stavebníků a jejich architektů a stavitelů a ukazuje, nakolik mohly tyto cesty ovlivnit projekty úprav a výstaveb venkovských sídel šlechty a zakládání a adaptace krajinářských parků v jejich okolí. Příspěvek si klade otázku, zdali je tyto výpravy nutné vnímat jen jako intencionální zdroj inspirace pro danou činnost, nebo je možné o nich hovořit i jako o něčem, co cestovatelům nemělo sloužit jako příležitost k hledání inspirace pro jmenované projekty. Další otázkou je pak to, jestli v uvedeném období ovlivnily urozené stavebníky a jimi najaté osoby v tomto smyslu pouze cesty do Velké Británie, která v éře 19. století předurčovala architektonické a kulturní trendy ve velké části Evropy, nebo i výpravy na jiná místa. Odpovědi na tyto otázky hledá příspěvek na příkladu několika aristokratů usazených v českých zemích a výzkumu, v jehož rámci byl využit materiál uložený v českých i zahraničních archivech. Z analýzy dokumentů vyplynulo, že cestování je možné vnímat jako intencionální i neintencionální zdroj inspirace pro sledované projekty a že jejich iniciátoři i osoby v jejich službách vykonali cesty jak zahraniční, tak i domácí, které ovlivnily charakter těchto počinů. Díky tomu se zároveň podařilo poukázat na různorodost zdrojů inspirace v jejich pozadí.The paper deals with travesl as a source of inspiration for building activities and landscaping of the nobility and aristocracy in the Czech lands realized during the Romantic period. The text focuses on the journeys of building owners and the persons hired by them (architects, builders) and shows how these journeys could influence particular projects (modification and construction of residences of the nobility and the foundations of landscape parks in their surroundings). The paper asks whether travels must be perceived only as an intentional source of inspiration for such activities, or whether it is possible to talk about them as something that travelers should not have served as an opportunity to find inspiration for the named projects. Another question is if the noble builders and the persons hired by them were influenced only by travels to Great Britain, which in the 19th century determined architectural and cultural trends in a large part of Europe, or also journeys to other places. The paper seeks answers to these questions on the example of several aristocrats and conducted research, in case of which material stored in Czech and foreign archives was used, and especially egodocuments. From their analysis it emerged that travelling can be perceived as an intentional and unintentional source of inspiration for these projects, and that their initiators and persons in their service traveled both abroad and domestically and all of these yourneys could influence the nature of these undertakings.
