Dostavba a úprava náměstí Míru v Brně

Abstract

Podoba náměstí Míru je dlouhodobě nevyhovující s množstvím funkčních i estetických problémů. Návrh řeší využití veřejné plochy a transformuje ji do důstojného náměstí, které tvoří srdce Masarykovy čtvrti a spojuje funkčnost dopravního uzlu s maximálním využitím veřejného prostoru. Budova stojící v jižní části náměstí reaguje na požadavky obyvatelů a pojímá jak administrativní a obytnou funkci tak kulturní vyžití návštěvníků. Vytváří poloveřejný prostor s dostatkem zeleně. Architektonicko-urbánní řešení stavby reaguje na blízké okolí, ale odkazuje také na historii Masarykovy čtvrti.The appearance of Namesti Miru has been unsuitable for a long time with many functional and aesthetic problems. The proposal addresses the use of public space and transforms it into a dignified square, which forms the heart of the Masaryk district. At the same time, the project combines the functionality of the transport hub with the maximum use of public space. The building in the southern part of the square responds to the demands of the inhabitants and accommodates both administrative and residential functions and the cultural activities of visitors. The building creates a semi-public space with plenty of greenery. The architectural and urban design of the building responds to the surrounding area and refers to the history of the Masaryk district.
