Plug-and-play Pohořelec

Abstract

Cílem práce bylo zaktivovat opuštěný objekt v historickém centru Brna na parcele číslo 159, stejně jako veřejný prostor před ním na ulici Pohořelec, který v současné době nepřitahuje kolemjdoucí k pobytu. Do objektu vkládám finančně dostupné prostory pro začínající umělce, kreativce, grafiky, start-upy a řemeslníky. Koncept členění prostorů je navržen tak, aby budova mohla fungovat v jakékoli časové epoše a zároveň podněcovala k navazování komunitních vazeb mezi jejími uživateli. Poslední dvě patra objektu jsou sloučena do jednoho, čímž vzniká otevřený HUB s multifunkčním sálem, který slouží jak pro uživatele objektu, tak i pro soukromé akce veřejnosti. K otevřenému HUBu náleží také střešní terasy s výhledem na střechy Brna. Prostor HUBu představuje lukrativní místo, jež nabízí ideální podmínky pro realizaci mnohočetných aktivit. Budova je tak nově pojímána jako inkubátor sociálního a kulturního života, který přirozeným způsobem přitahuje pozornost veřejnosti, podporuje vznik kreativní komunity a přispívá k postupné transformaci okolního prostředí.

The aim of the work was to activate an abandoned building in the historical centre of Brno on plot number 159, as well as the public space in front of it on Pohořelec Street, which currently does not attract passers-by to stay. The building provides affordable space for emerging artists, creatives, graphic designers, start-ups and craftsmen. The concept of structuring the spaces is designed to allow the building to function in any time period while encouraging community connections between its users. The last two floors of the building are merged into one, creating an open HUB with a multi-functional hall that serves both the users of the building and private events for the public. The open HUB also includes roof terraces overlooking the rooftops of Brno. The HUB space is a lucrative location that offers ideal conditions for the realization of multiple activities. The building is thus reconceived as an incubator of social and cultural life, which naturally attracts public attention, promotes the emergence of a creative community and contributes to the gradual transformation of the surrounding environment.
