Abstract

Nehostinné prostředí horských hřebenů bylo po dlouhou dobu lidské civilizace považováno za neobyvatelné. Nepříznivé počasí s extrémními výkyvy a složitá dostupnost odradila mnoho zájemců o rozvoj této lokality. I přesto zde na vznikly objekty, které se snaží nepřízni počasí vzdorovat. Jedním z příkladů je i nekrytá Chata na Rozcestí, nacházející se na hřebenu Krkonoš v nadmořské výšce 1 349 m n.m. Bezmála 90 let vytrvale bojuje se zdejším nehostinným prostředím, s cílem poskytnout kolemjdoucím turistům úkryt a občerstvení. Všechny dosavadní stavby však časem na nepřízeň počasí doplatily. Vzhledem k vysokým nárokům na provoz současného objektu je ze strany provozovatele velký zájem chatu přestavět. Návrh Chaty na Rozcestí přináší nový pohled na problematiku této lokality. V reakci na okolní krajinný kontext přírodního dědictví Krkonošského národního parku pracuje nejen s povětrnostními vlivy, ale také otázkou udržitelnosti a soběstačnosti.Inhospitable environment of mountain ridges was considered uninhabitable for a long time of human civilization. Adverse weather with extreme fluctuations and difficult accessibility discouraged many people interested in development of this location. However, there still were objects that tried to withstand the weather. One of the examples is the exposed chalet Chata na Rozcestí located on the ridge of the Krkonoše Mountains at an altitude of 1,349 m above sea level. The chalet has been constantly struggling with the inhospitable environment of almost 90 years. Its aim is to provide shelter and refreshments for tourists passing by. Over time, all existing buildings in this location suffered from the bad weather. Due to the high operation demands of the current building, the owner is very interested in rebuilding the chalet. The design of chalet Chata na Rozcestí brings a new perspective on the problematics of this locality. In response to the surrounding landscape of the Krkonoše National Park, the design works not only with weather conditions, but also in terms of sustainability and self-sufficiency.
