This diploma project addresses the pressing issue of affordable housing for women from diverse backgrounds, including elderly women, single mothers, and women fleeing domestic violence. Situated in Warsaw on an undeveloped site in a growing area, the project offers a sustainable urban and architectural solution to this challenge. The design integrates the area’s natural surroundings and proximity to the city center, creating a gateway that connects urban life with nature. Four distinct buildings are proposed: one designed for elderly women, one for single mothers, one for women fleeing domestic violence, and a co-living space where single mothers and women escaping domestic violence can find support in shared accommodation. Each building reflects the specific needs of its residents, fostering safety, dignity, and a sense of belonging. The project is informed by insights gained from interviews conducted with social workers, the mayor of Rybnik, and elderly women, whose perspectives shaped the design approach. Rooted in theoretical research and analytical insights, this project offers a comprehensive and sustainable solution to the challenge of affordable housing, empowering vulnerable women and building a resilient community.en
