Abstract

Diplomová práca sa venuje miestu, ktoré bolo kedysi centrom oddychu, liečby a spojenia človeka s vodou a krajinou. Po rokoch opustenia sa stáva len tichým svedkom minulosti, no zároveň v sebe stále nesie potenciál znovu niečo ponúknuť. Práca sa nesnaží o rekonštrukciu kúpeľov v tradičnom zmysle, ale o vytvorenie novej vrstvy, ktorá reflektuje potreby človeka dneška. Človeka, ktorý žije rýchly život a často tak stráca kontakt so sebou, s prírodou aj s tichom. A túži po hlbšom spojení. Nadväzuje na význam vody ako elementu, ktorý regeneruje nielen telo, ale aj myseľ. Pomocou série architektonických intervencií sa snaží citlivo pracovať s vodou ako so zmyslovým médiom, ktoré má schopnosť upokojiť, prepojiť a vytrhnúť z bežnosti. Každý zásah v krajine vytvára priestor, ktorý umožňuje iný spôsob kontaktu s vodou. A sebou samým. Ide o návrat k jednoduchému prežívaniu, k prítomnosti, k pomalosti. Miesto tak opäť nadobúda zmysel, nie ako turistická atrakcia, ale ako priestor tichej regenerácie. Fyzickej a mentálnej.

The thesis focuses on a place that was once a center of relaxation, healing, and connection between humans, water, and the landscape. After years of abandonment, it has become a silent witness of the past, yet it still carries the potential to offer something anew. The work does not aim to reconstruct the spa in the traditional sense, but rather to create a new layer that reflects the needs of contemporary people, those who live fast-paced lives and often lose touch with themselves, with nature, and with silence. People who long for deeper connection. It builds on the significance of water as an element that regenerates not only the body but also the mind. Through a series of architectural interventions, it seeks to work sensitively with water as a sensory medium, capable of calming, connecting, and pulling one out of the ordinary. Each intervention in the landscape creates a space that enables a different kind of contact with water and with oneself. It is a return to simple being, to presence, to slowness. In this way, the place regains its meaning not as a tourist attraction, but as a space for quiet regeneration, both physical and mental.
