The supervisor's and opponent's evaluations were presented to the examination committee by Mr. Karel Katovský. The student answered the opponent’s questions. An additional question was posed by Assoc. Prof. Baxant regarding the inverter connection in the simulated scheme. The student was able to partially answer this question. Dr. Ptáček asked a further question concerning the differences between the battery types used and the reason for the initial conditions being set similarly in both cases. With the assistance of the committee, the student managed to respond.cs

dc.description.abstractThe document presents the design of a photovoltaic (PV) system integrated with a battery energy storage system (BESS) to cover an annual energy consumption of 200,000kWh of a commercial building. Using PV*SOL simulation software, two system variants are analyzed and compared based on configuration, energy yield, self-consumption rates, and storage performance. Key design aspects include roof orientation, shading, inverter selection, and battery capacity. A financial analysis evaluates investment costs, payback periods, and long-term savings for both variants. Results highlight differences in efficiency and economic feasibility, supporting the selection of the more cost-effective and energy-efficient solution.en
