Abstract

Projekt je vystavěn na propojení infrastruktury s architekturou samotnou. Na území města Świnoujście vzniká vodní filtrační systém, který se rozprostírá okolo stávajícího a nově navrhovaného vlnolamu. Nový vlnolam je přitom rozdělen na části s rozdílným charakterem. Na klíčových bodech tohoto infrastrukturního systému se formuje letní škola architektury, čímž se stává provázaným objektem s novým i původním vlnolamem a s celým systémem. Vodní systém funguje na principu přírodní filtrace přes navrhovaný bazén mezi oběma vlnolamy. Filtrace probíhá díky specifickému vrstvení podloží a sporadickým ostrůvkům přirozených rostlin říčního prostředí, které filtraci napomáhají. Bazén je v místech vstupu a výstupu vody vybaven regulačním segmentovým stavidlem, které umožňuje upravovat tok vody. Prostory letní školy jsou formovány v klíčových bodech systému a navazují na něj jak vizuálně, prostorově, tak i klimaticky.

The project is based on the integration of infrastructure with architecture itself. In the area of the city of Świnoujście, a water filtration system is being developed, extending around both the existing and newly proposed breakwater. The new breakwater is divided into sections with distinct characteristics. At key points of this infrastructural system, a summer school of architecture is formed, becoming an interconnected element of both the new and original breakwaters, as well as the system as a whole. The water system operates on the principle of natural filtration through a proposed basin situated between the two breakwaters. Filtration occurs through a specific layering of the basin’s substrate and sporadic islets of natural riparian vegetation that contribute to the filtration process. The basin is equipped with a segmented control gate at the inlet and outlet points, allowing for the regulation of water flow. The spaces of the summer school are shaped at the key nodes of the system, connecting to it both visually, spatially and climatically.
