Abstract

Návrh bakalářské práce přímo reaguje na potřebu výstavby nového, delšího a výškově přizpůsobeného vlnolamu ve městě Świnoujście na severu Polska. Tento nový zásah se stává místem, kde se protíná technická infrastruktura s architekturou, kulturním gestem i drsným kontextem otevřeného moře. Vzniká tak prostor pro novou interpretaci vztahu člověka k horizontu, k pobřežní hraně, k veřejnému prostoru — k místu, které není ani pevninou, ani mořem, ale něčím mezi tím. Do této situace je zasazena škola architektury – nikoli jako klasická instituce výuky, ale jako prostředí pro soustředění, vnímání a tiché rozjímání nad architekturou samotnou. Je součástí kompozice pěti vertikál, které vyrůstají z masy nového vlnolamu. Tyto věže artikulují infrastrukturní zásah jako výrazný architektonický motiv, který se zapisuje do horizontální linie moře. Celý návrh je založen na kompozici různých vztahů měřítek, úrovní intimity, prostoru a materiálu. Prolínají se zde světy přírody, lidského pobytu a technické logiky — ve společné hmotě, která je zároveň pobytovým molem, ochrannou hrází i architektonickým zážitkem.

The design of the bachelor thesis responds directly to the need for the construction of a new, longer and height-adapted breakwater in the city of Świnoujście in northern Poland. This new intervention becomes a place where technical infrastructure intersects with architecture, cultural gesture and the harsh context of the open sea. This creates a space for a new interpretation of the relationship of man to the horizon, to the coastal edge, to public space - to a place that is neither land nor sea, but something in between. Into this situation the school of architecture is placed - not as a classical institution of teaching, but as an environment for concentration, perception and quiet contemplation of architecture itself. It is part of a composition of five verticals that grow out of the mass of the new breakwater. These towers articulate the infrastructural intervention as a distinctive architectural motif that inscribes itself in the horizontal line of the sea. The entire design is based on a composition of different relationships of scales, levels of intimacy, space and material. Here the worlds of nature, human residence and technical logic intersect - in a common mass that is at once a residence pier, a protective dike and an architectural experience.
