Abstract
Cieľom bakalárskej práce bola príprava kľúčových prekurzorov a následná syntéza asymetrických derivátov diketopyrolopyrolu (DPP). Tieto zlúčeniny predstavujú perspektívnu triedu organických materiálov využiteľných v oblasti organickej elektroniky, kde sa v súčasnosti venuje značná pozornosť vývoju a štúdiu nových organických polovodičov.
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis was the preparation of key precursors followed by the synthesis of asymmetric diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) derivatives. These compounds represent a promising class of organic materials used in organic electronics, where significant effort is currently focused on the development and study of new organic semiconductors. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with organic semiconductors, their properties, and possible applications. It also describes the chemical and physical properties of DPP derivatives, with emphasis on the effect of molecular asymmetry, and summarizes synthetic approaches used for the preparation of asymmetric DPP derivatives. The experimental part of the thesis was focused on a stepwise synthesis of the target asymmetric DPP derivatives, where key precursors required for the formation of the DPP core were first prepared. The work confirmed the applicability of a literature-reported synthetic strategy based on dimethyl carbonate, which was subsequently also successfully applied to a derivative obtained from a brominated starting material.
