Abstract
Spolu se změnou politického režimu nastala po sametové revoluci i změna organizace výkonu povolání architekta/architektky. Konec Svazu československých architektů a začátek demokraticky zřízené stavovské organizace – komory architektů – s sebou přinesly neopakovatelnou příležitost pro redefinování fungování profese architekta/architektky.
Along with the change in political regime, there was also a change in the organization of the profession of the architect after the Velvet Revolution. The end of the Union of Czechoslovak Architects and the beginning of a democratically established professional organization – the Chamber of Architects – brought with it a unique opportunity to redefine the functioning of the profession of the architect. The ideals of the generation of architects at that time, whether emerging or already practicing, were partially transferred to the form of this organization. The aim of this article is to determine how their ideals have changed more than 30 years since the 1st General Meeting, how the organization itself has changed, and what parables of the current emerging generation are calling for a change in functioning.
