Blockchain technology options in town and country planning

Abstract

Územněplánovací dokumentaci lze definovat jako statickou databázi pozemků, na kterou jsou aplikovány vrstvy regulací, jako jsou funkční plochy, výška zástavby, index podlažních ploch nebo index zastavěných ploch. Změna a aktualizace této databáze jsou několik let trvající proces. Práce se zabývá novou technologií blockchain. Blockchain je databáze, jejíž aktualizace spočívá v decentralizované sdílené peer-to-peer síti. Induktivním způsobem a metodou kvalitativního výzkumu práce mapuje možnosti využití technologie v rámci systému územního plánování.Town and country planning documentation can be defined as a static database of plots on which layers such as functional areas, height of built-up area, floor area index or built-up area index are applied. Changing and updating this database is a process which takes several years. This paper deals with the new technology blockchain. Updating a blockchain database is based on a decentralized and shared peer-to-peer network. The inductive and qualitative research method maps the possibilities for the use of this technology within the town and country planning system.
