Abstract
This paper focuses on the design and implementation of an open-source smart home, using a central unit based on the Raspberry Pi platform and controlling the Home Assistant operating system. The smart home has smart modules relays, a set of sensors for measuring temperature, humidity and pressure, and safety features for fire prevention. The sensors are implemented using the ESP32 platform and the ESPHOME "add-on". The article also deals with the effective control of heat sources to reduce energy consumption and increase the efficiency of home heating.
