In this paper different energy states of a heat pump are described. Equations used for mathematical description of the heat pump in the Matlab Simulink are presented. Created model is used to calculate the energy flows in the system according to different input parameters. The simulation involves an accumulation tank, which is controlled by individual input and output parameters. Simulation results have been compared with the experimental measured values on a heat pump in a laboratory.en
