The aim of this article is to familiarize Czech experts with the principles of valuation in the United Kingdom. It focuses on the basics and the process of valuation. Further it gives a brief overview of the valuation principles in England and describes the current situation on the English real estate market. The article also introduces the reader to the processes of valuation, types of obtaining information for valuation and brings a brief characteristic of individual valuation methods.
