dc.description.abstract | In this paper, a literature overview of fault tolerant electrical machines (FTEM) is presented. Various electrical machine designs are shown, their advantages as well as design and technology challenges are briefly discussed. It was found that one of the most popular types of FTEM is permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) with fractional slot concentrated winding. In order to define boundaries of starting parameters for the design of FTEM, several important aspects of design of electrical machines are also provided. | en |
