Abstract

This paper deals with utilization of Viola-Jones object detector for face and eyes localization in static images using skin color model, eyes color map a cluster analysis. In the first part of the paper is described the principle of Viola-Jones object detector consist of integral image, Haar's wavelet a classification algorithm AdaBoost. The second part deals with the detector implementing, with its training for face and eyes detection and with effective usage of input image color information. Whole algorithm was benchmarked on images from Georgia Tech face database.
Tento článek se zabývá možností využití detektoru objektů Viola-Jones pro lokalizaci obličejů a očí v barevných statických obrazech s využitím modelu barvy kůže, barevné oční mapy a shlukové analýzy. V první části je popsán princip detektoru Viola-Jones využívajícího integrálního obrazu, Haarovy vlnky a klasifikačního algoritmu AdaBoost. Druhá část je pak věnována vlastní implementaci detektoru, jeho natrénovaní pro detekci obličejů a očí a možnosti efektivního využití barevné informace obrazu. Výsledný algoritmus byl testován na snímcích z obličejové databáze Georgia Tech face database.
