Česká sakrální architektura v období vzniku samostatného Československa

Abstract

Příspěvek se zabývá českou sakrální architekturou v konkrétním dějinném okamžiku. Protože děje v oblasti architektury probíhají ve srovnání s politikou pomaleji, je zvolena určitá zóna bezprostředního dějinného okolí v rozsahu odpovídajícím rychlosti architektonického vývoje. Středem této pomyslné zóny na dějinné ose je rok 1918, rok politického ustanovení samostatného Československa. Je zkoumána architektura kostelů a souvisejících staveb a to především z hlediska reakce na probíhající celospolečenské události. Projevy historické situace jsou zkoumány v oblasti volby architektonického stylu konkrétních staveb, dále v kontextu změn v konfesních preferencích a konečně i v oblasti zájmu o hmotná vyjádření víry obecně. Je zde hledána odpověď na otázku, zda architektura v uvedeném období měla úzký kontakt s duchem doby, tedy zda na něj pouze reagovala, či zda jej i spoluvytvářela.The contribution deals with Czech sacral architecture in particular historical moment. Because of the slow movement in the architectural area in comparison to politics, a certain zone of immediate historical period is chosen, which corresponds to the speed of architectural evolution. The midpoint of this imaginary zone on the historical axis is the year 1918, the year of political establishment of independent Czechoslovakia. In the present work the church architecture and the architecture of related buildings is studied mostly from the viewpoint of reactions on the progressing society events. The results of the historical situation are researched in the area of the preference of architectural style of particular buildings, also in the context of the changes in confessional preferences and finally also in the area of interest in material expression of the faith generally. In the present contribution an answer is searched to the question, if architecture in the mentioned time span had a close contact to the spirit of the present time, therefore, whether it only reacted on it, or whether it also constituted it.
