Abstract
Windows perform a substantial role for the building indoor environment and well-being of occupants. Especially for educational buildings, the visual and acoustic comfort represent key design parameters. The goal of the study is focused on a coupling of daylight simulations in classrooms together with acoustic evaluations. Effects of different window glazing on indoor daylighting and acoustics were studied. Results were compared with the requirements for internal visual and acoustic comfort based on school building sustainability criteria.
