dc.description.abstractThis paper describes an active element of the manufacturing process, the AAS interpreter, which implements elements of distributed control and horizontal integration to help achieve the goals of the Industry 4.0 initiative. For context, the text introduces the testbed for Industry 4.0 within which the AAS interpreter is integrated. Furthermore, the paper focuses mainly on the core functions and processes of the device itself.en
