Abstract
Obilný trh je v obraze mesta Brna neprehliadnuteľným verejným priestorom. Jeho južná časť však doposial nebola dokončená a ukrýva v sebe obrovský potenciál pre rozvoj mesta respektíve jeho verejných inštitúcií. Forma verejnej správy a jej úradov čelí dlhodobej kritike. Príkladov moderných, otvorených, flexibilných a udržatelných verejných budov je minimum. Spoločenský diskurz po nich stále silnejšie volá a architekti naň musia mať pripravenú odpoveď.
The Obilný trh is an unmissable public space in the image of the city of Brno. However, its southern part has not yet been completed and hides a huge potential for the development of the city and its public institutions. The form of public administration and its offices are facing long-term criticism. There are minimal examples of modern, open, flexible and sustainable public buildings. Social discourse is calling for them more and more, and architects must have an answer ready for them.
