Maršálek, Roman

Michal Harvanek submitted his thesis oriented towards the area of RF front-ends impairments, power amplifier nonlinearities, and mitigation of the adjacent channel interferences, caused by such unwanted, but realistic effects present in most of the contemporary wireless transceivers. I see such orientation of the work as highly topical. During his research, Michal has participated in various research projects, including the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR) project No. 17-18675S “Future transceiver techniques for the society in motion”, which was directly related to his work. Michal’s journal paper published in the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, in which he presents the core of his thesis, represents one of the important outcomes of this project. Michal also presented his work at several local international conferences and spent a couple of months at one of our important cooperating institutions – TU Wien, Austria. Having in mind the methods he developed, the submitted thesis, as well as the publication outputs, I recommend the thesis of Michal Harvanek for oral defense.
