Vliv mechanické komprese dolních končetin u rizikových pacientů s epilepsií na charakteristiku signálu invazivního stereo-EEG záznamu

Abstract

Táto práca sa zameriava na hodnotenie vplyvu mechanickej kompresie dolných končatín (IPC) u pacientov s farmakorezistentnou fokálnou epilepsiou na kvalitu stereo-EEG záznamov. Teoretická časť bola venovaná charakteristike stereo-EEG, interiktálnym biomarkerom epilepsie a prevencii hlbokej žilovej trombózy. Praktická časť zahŕňa analýzu stereo-EEG záznamov získaných s použitím IPC, pričom pomocou štatistických metód boli porovnané so záznamami bez tejto intervencie. Výsledky nepreukázali štatisticky významné rozdiely vo vybraných metrikách, spôsobené použitím IPC. Práca poskytuje ucelenú analýzu, ktorá môže slúžiť ako základ pre zefektívnenie prevencie vzniku hlbokej žilnej trombózy u rizikových pacientov s epilepsiou použitím IPC.This thesis focuses on evaluating the impact of intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) of the lower limbs on the quality of stereo-EEG recordings in patients with pharmacoresistant focal epilepsy. The theoretical part is dedicated to the characteristics of stereo-EEG, interictal biomarkers of epilepsy, and the prevention of deep vein thrombosis. The practical part involves the analysis of stereo-EEG recordings obtained with the use of IPC, which were statistically compared to recordings without this intervention. The results did not show statistically significant differences in the selected metrics caused by the use of IPC. This work provides a comprehensive analysis that may serve as a basis for optimizing the prevention of deep vein thrombosis in high-risk epilepsy patients through the use of IPC.
