Diferenciální elektromagnetická analýza

Abstract

The article describes the optimization of differential side channel analysis which is often used in differential power analysis and also in differential electromagnetic analysis. The introductory chapters discusses in great detail the theoretical background of method. The new improvement is proposed, which allow reduction of the required calculations by 73% and it is in the worst case. The method is based on the knowledge of the Hamming weight of a secret key. The Hamming weight of the secret key can be determined by adding only one reference measurement of elektormagnetic trace in the first phase of attack. The testbed focused on measuring of direct emissions was built to verify proposal optimalization. An experimental verification of optimized method was full fill.Článek popisuje optimalizaci diferenciální analýzy která je často používána při analýze elektromagnetického postranního kanálu. Úvodní kapitoly popisují detailně metodu diferenciální analýzy a následně je navržena optimalizace metody, která umožní redukci nutných výpočtů o 73 % a to v nejhorším možném případě. Optimalizace metody vychází ze znalosti Hammingovy váhy tajného klíče, která je určena pomocí referenčního měření elektromagnetického průběhu. Bylo vytvořeno experimentální pracoviště, kde byla navrhovaná metoda testována na šifrovacím algoritmu AES (Advanced Encryption Standard).
