Cloudové platformy a jejich srovnání: Kubernetes, OpenStack a OpenShift

Abstract

Článek se zabývá charakteristikou a srovnáním volně přístupných platforem cloud computingu. Konkrétněji za účelem nalezení nejvhodnější platformy k budování vlastní Kybernetické arény. Úvod stručně vysvětluje základní technologie a rozepisuje úvahu nad využitím veřejného, nebo privátního cloudu. Článek se dále věnuje popisu dostupných cloudových platforem: Kubernetes, OpenStack a OpenShift, rozdělených do samostatných kapitol. Každá kapitola začíná vznikem a historií platformy, seznamuje čtenáře s architekturou, možnostmi kontejnerizace, sandboxingu, síťováním, pár možnostmi instalace a minimálními hardwarovými požadavky platformy. Na závěr porovnává jejich výhody, nevýhody a vlastnosti. Po přečtení článku se bude čtenář lépe orientovat v jinak složité problematice cloudových technologií a porozumí hlavním rozdílům mezi zmíněnými platformami.The article deals with the characteristics and comparison of open source cloud computing platforms. More specifically, in order to find the most suitable platform for building own Cyber Arena. The introduction briefly explains the basic technologies and describes the consideration of the use of public or private cloud. The article also describes the available cloud platforms: Kubernetes, OpenStack and OpenShift, divided into separate chapters. Each chapter begins with the origin and history of the platform, introduces the reader to the architecture, containerization options, sandboxing, networking, a few installation options and the minimum hardware requirements of the platform. Finally, it compares their advantages, disadvantages and features. After reading the article, the reader will be more familiar with the otherwise complex issues of cloud technologies and understand the main differences between the mentioned platforms.
