Petr Dýr se specializuje na architekturu výrobních staveb a revitalizaci zemědělských brownfields. Jeho práce zahrnuje návrhy a realizace výrobních a veřejných budov, stejně jako pedagogickou činnost zaměřenou na výchovu studentů v oblasti architektury výrobních staveb.
