Galerie moderního umění Brno

Abstract

Vypracovaná bakalářská práce vychází z architektonické studie galerie moderního umění Brno vypracované ve druhém semestru 1. ročníku bakalářského studia. Cílem práce je návrh objektu galerie moderního umění a zhotovení její projektové dokumentace pro stavební povolení a provádění stavby. Řešené území se nachází na okraji Městské památkové rezervace Brno na okružní třídě mezi ulicemi Koliště a Benešova. Vzhledem k poloze je kladen důraz na začlenění objektu do okolní zástavby na základě kontextuálních vazeb, významu místa a regulačního plánu. Koncept návrhu se inspiruje dalšími okružními třídami, které historicky vznikly bouráním hradeb, a to jejich urbanistickým uspořádáním a charakterem budov, které se na nich nachází. Hmota galerie je proto pravidelná, mohutná a symetrická, doplňující svou výškou okolní objekty jako je Magistrát města Brna a palác Morava. Plášť budovy je tvořen ze systému profilovaných skel, který pomáhá rozptýlit přímé světlo z exteriéru, ale zároveň sám v noci vyzařuje rozptýlené světlo zevnitř. Velká a těžká hmota galerie je tak obalena tímto bílým „závojem“ a vytváří tak pro diváka jedinečný pohled. Zároveň tak slouží jako pomyslný „maják“ nebo „krystal“, který září na konci parkové třídy.The bachelor thesis follows up on an architecture study of gallery of modern arts Brno made in the second semester of the first year of the bachelor’s degree program. The thesis goal is to create a design of a gallery of modern arts and its documentation for the building permit and implementation of construction. The land in question is situated on the edge of the Brno’s historic city reservation on the Ringstrasse between the Benešova and Koliště streets. Because of the placement, the emphasis is focused on including the object between the surrounding buildings based on context, the importance of the area and Brno’s regulatory plan. The concept is inspired by other city ring streets, that historically emerged after the demolition of the city walls, and specifically their urban layout and character of the buildings on them. Therefore, the gallery’s mass is regular, bulky, and symmetrical, matching its height with important surrounding buildings like the Brno’s city hall and palác Morava. The facade of the building is made of U-shaped channel glass panels, which helps to scatter the exterior light, but also emits light from within in then night. The big and bulky mass of the gallery is wrapped into this white „coat“ and it creates a unique view for the spectator. The gallery can be viewed as „lighthouse“ or „crystal“, that shines at the end of the Brno’s city street ring.
