HANGAR TICINUM – komunitní centrum na řece

Abstract

Predmetom tejto diplomovej práce je konverzia chátrajúceho objektu hangáru Idroscalo v Talianskom meste Pavia na komunitné centrum a revitalizácia jeho blízkeho okolia. Objekt vo svojej bohatej minulosti slúžil primárne ako hangár pre hydroplány na komerčnej letovej trase Turín – Trieste. Pri premene objektu bolo potrebné pochopiť hodnoty obsiahnuté v jeho histórii, rešpektovať základné architektonické znaky a princípy návrhu tohto objektu od architekta Giuseppeho Pagana, jeho konštrukčnej logiky, statických možností a štýlových vrstiev, ktoré sú dôležité pre vytváranie celku. Návrh ďalej vychádza z fungovania, potrieb a analýz mesta Pavia, ktoré sa snaží tento dlhotrvajúco chátrajúci objekt zachrániť, využiť v prospech komunity mesta a blízkosti jeho okolia. Kvalita návrhu je priamo spojená s kontextami daného miesta, ktorými sú rieka, nábrežie, ulica a mesto. Tieto kontexty sú vnímané ako existujúce danosti, na ktoré je nutné reagovať, keďže dotvárajú a formujú návrh. Hlavným konceptom je využitie hangáru pre potreby komunitného centra do miery, pri ktorej je zachovaná autenticita diela pri jeho súčasnom plnohodnotnom využití, kde svojím zásahom sa stane samozrejmou, integrálnou súčasťou prostredia. Z toho dôvodu sa komunitné centrum neuzatvára do objektu, ale naopak adaptuje a využíva prostredie rieky, nábrežia a ulice.The subject of this dissertation is the conversion of the dilapidated Idroscalo hangar in Pavia, Italy into a community centre and the revitalization of its immediate surroundings. The building in its rich past primarily served as a hangar for seaplanes on the commercial flight route Turin - Trieste. During the transformation of the building, it was essential to understand the values contained in its history, respect the basic architectural features and design principles of the building by architect Giuseppe Pagan. Attention was also paid to the structural logic, statics possibilities and stylistic layers, which are important for the creation of a harmonic whole. The project is further based on the analyses of the operation and needs of the city of Pavia, seeking to save this long-dilapidated building in order to benefit the community of the city and its surroundings. The quality of the design is directly linked to the contexts of the location, namely the river, the embankment, the street and the city. These contexts are perceived as existing conditions that need to be addressed since they both shape and complete the design. The main concept is the use of the hangar for the purposes of the community centre. This is done by preserving authenticity of the new design through its integration into the environment, allowing it to become a natural and integral part of the environment. For this reason, the community centre is not confined to the building, but on the contrary adapts and uses the environment of the river, embankment and street.
