Abstract

Diplomová práca s názvom Memoria Pulvis – „Pamäť prachu“ skúma starnutie ako proces a dotýka sa pritom témy násilia, s akým sa stretávajú aj seniori. Prostredníctvom spolupráce s vlastnou babkou, autorka reflektuje prežívanie staroby a traumy seniorov, pričom sa sama stáva pozorovateľkou aj účastníčkou tohto procesu. Dielo, ktoré je prezentované ako inštalácia, spája osobnú skúsenosť so symbolickým a metaforickým spracovaním témy cez objekty a video. Ako hlavné výtvarné médium využíva autorka vaječné škrupiny, materiál, ktorý v sebe nesie dualitu zrodu a zániku, ktoré sa prirodzene spájajú s témou procesu starnutia. Prostredníctvom dekoratívnych ornamentov a narúšaných štruktúr autorka vytvára priestor pre intímne rozprávanie o bolestiach, stratách a starnutí, pričom divákovi ponecháva možnosť vlastnej interpretácie. Video a audio nahrávka dotvára atmosféru tichého pretrvávania a zdieľania skúseností, ktoré v bežnom živote často zostávajú nevypovedané.The thesis entitled Memoria Pulvis - "Memory of Dust" explores ageing as a process and touches upon the theme of violence that the elderly also face. Through collaboration with her own grandmother, the author reflects on the experience of old age and trauma of the elderly, becoming herself both an observer and a participant in this process. The work, which is presented as an installation, combines personal experience with a symbolic and metaphorical treatment of the subject through objects and video. As the main artistic medium, the artist uses eggshells, a material that carries the duality of birth and death, which are naturally associated with the theme of the aging process. Through decorative ornaments and distorted structures, the artist creates a space for an intimate narrative of pain, loss and aging, leaving the viewer free to make their own interpretations. The video and audio recording completes the atmosphere of silent persistence and sharing of experiences that often remain unspoken in everyday life.
