Radnice Brno – Sever

Abstract

Hlavním architektonickým motivem je kontrast vertikály a horizontály. Vertikála - věž v níž bude umístěna radnice, bude dominantním prvkem v okolí, a proto dobře reprezentuje důležitost radnice v rámci městské části. Tuto důležitost umocňuje i umístění věže na nároží. Klidná horizontální hmota kulturního centra navazuje na uliční čáry a vymezuje tak nové veřejné prostory včetně nového náměstí před radnicí. Calm horizontal volume cultural center follows the street line and thus defines a new public spaces, including a new town hall square. The unifying element of the two buildings is a double facade of white aluminum fins.
