Student in his analytical work of 59 pages (43 without the introductory part and the list of literature) used FEM software to calculate the deformation of the surface of the turbocharger rotor shaft at the radial bearing surface. The work follows on from the undefended final work from last year. The plagiarism control system revealed a 63% agreement, however, it is a step up from last year's version prepared by the student. The student created the final work only using online communication, which is possible due to the repetition of the topic. It should be added that in the previous year he often came to consultations and consulted on some issues. It is worth noting the fact that even though he did not have study subjects on the given issue in his previous studies, he was able to submit a suitable work. The individual chapters are formulated somewhat unconventionally, partly inappropriately, however, in principle sufficient for the current assessment of the condition and the creation of a computational model and leading to the fulfillment of the objectives of the work. The resulting deformations on the bearing journal correspond to the assumptions, the method of presentation is often insufficient. The graphic design is rather weak. The formatting of the work and formal matters are significantly worse. There is a large number of inappropriate headings, numbering of headings, commas in decimal numbers, formatting of relationships, etc. The overall assessment can be stated that the final thesis is very weak, however, the graduate has met the minimum requirements and achieved the set objectives.

The final thesis of Mr. Tabukashvili deals with the problem of rotor deformation due to thermo-mechanical loading. The aim of the thesis is to create an overview of the deformation of the turbocharger rotor under thermal-mechanical loading, by analyzing the rotor temperature field at the sliding bearing location, in steady state. The thesis contains 43 pages including an introduction and a list of sources used. The plagiarism checking system revealed a 63% agreement, however, this is a match with last year's version produced by a student. The thesis can be divided into two main parts. The first part of the thesis is of a research nature. Here the author briefly describes turbochargers and introduces the heat transfer in turbochargers. In this part of the thesis a review of the current state of knowledge has also been made. However, this part of the thesis deals with the subject in a very general way, and there are hints of deviation from the main topic of the thesis. The title of Chapter 3 does not correspond to its content. The second part of the thesis is an application part, the author of the thesis identifies the turbocharger operating conditions and presents the model with applied boundary conditions. Stylistically, the thesis is at the required level, the same can be said about the grammatical aspect, where I would only criticize a small number of typos and errors. From the formal point of view, I would criticise that the author did not use the template intended for the thesis, which often leads to incorrect formatting of the thesis. On the formal side, I would also criticize the author for the poor quality of some of the figures, especially in the first part of the thesis and Figure 11, where the text is almost illegible. The structure and chapters of the thesis are logically arranged. I assess the author's work with sources as sufficient, and it can be stated that he has demonstrated knowledge of proper citation. The literature used is of good quality and contemporary. The author has demonstrated the ability to interpret the information and knowledge gained in the development of the thesis. The analyses produced and the tools used are at a basic level, but can be considered correct and standard. In conclusion, the author has fulfilled all the necessary requirements and objectives of the thesis.
