The master's thesis focuses on the design and application of project management methods in this company. The author attempts to address planning inefficiencies and risks by designing a structured framework using project management tools such as Gantt chart, WBS, RACI matrix, risk register and other techniques. The theoretical part defines all the methods and tools used in the thesis. The analytical part is the strong point of the thesis. Key gaps in planning, approval, logistics, stakeholder engagement and post-event evaluation have been identified and clearly presented. The design section is well developed and contains practical recommendations. The author presents a complete project planning framework, including SMART objectives, project charter, WBS, and critical path analysis. Risk management is systematically addressed, including a tailored risk register and mitigation plans. The quality of the design is further enhanced by a structured communication plan and logistics checklist. The inclusion of implementation costs, timelines and expected benefits demonstrates a mature and professional approach. Question: Explain which of your proposals you consider to be the most beneficial and why?

Posudek oponenta

Juřica, Pavel

The thesis presents a well-executed application of project management theory to a real-life business case. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical insight and results in a valuable contribution for the target company. Minor improvements could be made in the visualization of some tools and deeper quantification of proposed benefits, but overall, the work meets the standards of a master’s thesis.

Splnění stanovených cílů A The thesis clearly defines its main objective—to develop a project management plan for ADW's international participation in a trade fair—and this objective is met in full. The work methodically follows through on analyzing the current state, identifying issues, and proposing a detailed project plan. Sub-objectives regarding theoretical grounding, analytical evaluation, and practical proposals are logically structured and executed.
Zvolený postup řešení, adekvátnost použitých metod B The thesis uses appropriate and established project management tools (WBS, Gantt, RACI, risk maps, etc.) and combines theoretical knowledge with practical application. The methodological structure is coherent, with a clear line from literature review to analysis and final proposal. However, the justification for selecting certain tools over others could be discussed more critically.
Schopnost interpretovat dosažené výsledky a vyvozovat z nich závěry B The thesis demonstrates a good ability to interpret empirical findings and translate them into actionable proposals. The conclusions are logically derived from the analysis, and specific recommendations are linked to observed deficiencies. Nonetheless, the implications could be contextualized more broadly, beyond the immediate case.
Praktická využitelnost výsledků B The proposed solutions have strong practical relevance, especially in improving planning, communication, and risk management processes within the company. Tools and processes suggested are implementable and scalable. However, a more explicit validation of feasibility (e.g., pilot implementation or stakeholder feedback) would strengthen this further.
Struktura práce, použitá terminologie a odborná jazyková úroveň A The structure of the thesis is well organized, with clear division into theoretical, analytical, and proposal parts. Terminology is used correctly and consistently.
Práce s informačními zdroji A The thesis draws from a balanced selection of Czech and international sources, including key authors in project management. Citations are generally accurate and formatted appropriately.
