This thesis was focused on a development of a flexible insert for satellite applications. During the development several design options were successfully investigated, analysed and made, with a stringent emphasis to feasibility of conventional manufacturing. Compared to the current solution, the proposed flexible insert simplifies considerably the assembly process, by supressing the need for additional parts of the mechanical joint. A technological proposal focused on feasibility and flexibility of the operations has been presented and practically verified. Mr. Bc. Tomáš Raška was a very good student. He used to refer regularly on the progress, read and discussed a lot of papers, solved a lot of particular problems to my great satisfaction. I fully recommend her work to the diploma defence.

The submitted thesis is in the extent of 149 pages. It cites 64 professional literary sources (foreign authors). The objective of this work is to develop an insert for a sandwich satellite structure with tailored mechanical properties. The problem is analysed and an innovative design of the insert, considering the feasibility of manufacturing, is proposed, based on an existing application. This design is then verified using finite element method. It deals also with a technological proposal of the manufacturing of the designed insert. Finally, the methodology of the test for validation of the design is introduced. The topic is up-to-date and this thesis was written in cooperation with OHB Czechspace s.r.o. based in Brno, Czech Republic. I recommend the thesis for defence.
