The student has completed all the objectives specified in the project description. She has developed a method to detect the effects of physical exercise in the brain from the brain EEG signals. She has submitted the thesis and the accompanying code on time.

Informace k zadání  The thesis was related to development of method for analysis of brain EEG signals that could detect the effects of physical exercise in the brain. The work was challenging because of the complexity of brain EEG signals and requirement to understanding of brain anatomy and physiology. The student developed a machine learning method to assess brain EEG signals and detect the differences in brain activity before and after physical exercise. The resulting outputs are satisfactory and all the requirements of the thesis were met. 
Práce s literaturou The student reviewed many existing methods and techniques to detect the effects of physical exercise on the brain using brain EEG signals. Section 2.1 provides details of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, and the various parts and functions of the brain affected by physical exercise. Section 2.2 discusses the fundamentals of EEG while section 2.3 talks about the physical exercises. Finally, section 2.4 provides detailed description of the existing techniques for detection of changes in brain due to physical exercise using brain EEG signals. The chapter provides the summary of gaps in the existing methods too. Its a very well written chapter and the student has put in lot of effort and time for making it an excellent literature review.
Aktivita během řešení, konzultace, komunikace The student had a very positive attitude and started working on the topic in the winter semester of 2024. I had weekly meetings with the student and she regularly attended the meetings. She worked very hard and I found her to be focused and a dedicated student. She was well prepared for the meetings.
Aktivita při dokončování The student regularly consulted me before the submission of the thesis. The work was challenging because of the complexity of brain EEG signals which include many electrodes and requires extensive pre-processing. Also, there is a learning curve as it’s a multidisciplinary topic. The student was able to complete all the development in time and was able to submit the thesis within the give timeframe. 
Publikační činnost, ocenění The student has developed the method and the code is submitted along with the thesis. It is possible to publish a conference paper from the thesis.

Overall, the work shows a lot of promise and the student clearly put in a good amount of effort, especially in building a solid pipeline. The approach is thoughtful and the methodology makes sense. That said, the results still feel a bit rough and could benefit from more fine-tuning and deeper analysis. With some extra attention, the outcomes could become really strong and ready for wider recognition.

Náročnost zadání The topic of studying brain signal changes due to exercise is quite challenging, involving complex data collection and analysis. Considering this difficulty, the minor flaws found are understandable and don’t significantly affect the overall quality. The work demonstrates strong understanding and a solid methodological approach overall.
Rozsah splnění požadavků zadání The assignment is mostly complete with just a few minor points. Although the data and number of channels were limited, it’s clear that collecting more data wasn’t possible, and the focus was on making the best use of what was available. The work done on the existing data is really good, showing a solid understanding and careful analysis. The results could be a bit stronger with some more exploration, but overall, it’s a very good piece of work.
Rozsah technické zprávy The report is a bit long at 97 pages, more than the usual maximum, but I’m happy with it because it’s packed with useful info. The literature review is really thorough, there are good tables, and the code is clearly shown. Everything included feels necessary, so the length doesn’t feel excessive. Overall, it’s a detailed and well-organized report.
Prezentační úroveň technické zprávy 92 The presentation level of the report is impressive. The introduction and literature review are explained in a clear and detailed way, which helps the reader easily understand the background and context of the study. The methodology section is well organized, with each step laid out logically and smoothly. The flow between chapters is natural, making the whole report easy to follow. 
Formální úprava technické zprávy 90 The report is generally well-prepared, but there is some room for improvement in typographical and linguistic aspects. A few errors and inconsistencies were noticed.
Práce s literaturou 90 The student chose a solid range of sources that are directly relevant to the topic. Instead of just repeating what’s already been done, they made a genuine effort to understand the existing research and build on it in their own way.
Realizační výstup 91 The technical solution works well and does what it’s supposed to do. The documentation explains things clearly, making it easy to understand how everything fits together. Testing was done okay, though a bit more thorough checking would make it even better
Využitelnost výsledků The results aren’t quite ready to be published yet, but the pipeline is really well put together. With a little more work, the results could be much stronger and might even make it to a good conference.
