MISIUREV, D. Strukturální a elektrické vlastnosti PVDF-CNT kompozitu [online]. Brno: Vysoké učení technické v Brně. Fakulta elektrotechniky a komunikačních technologií. 2021.
The topic of the thesis is relevant in the field of electroactive materials. The information in this thesis is presented by the author systematically. Number and complementary character of the experiments confirm the reliability of the obtained data. The author extensively presented both theoretical and practical parts. There are no contradictions in the work and the conclusions are clear and well-grounded. This work is of practical importance. Although the semantic part of the work is well organized, the formal part contains a number of errors. The stylistic features of the English language are pure. The grammar, clarity and accuracy of the thesis need improvement. During the work, Bc. Denis Misiurev showed creativity, hard work and independence. The data were presented at conferences. All experiments were carried out directly by him or with his participation. Despite the above stylistic and linguistic shortcomings, the work is of scientific interest from a practical point of view. Therefore, I recommend this thesis for defence, and assess it by 90 points or the corresponding grade A.
The thesis reports on PVDF fibres obtained by electrospinning method and their comparison to PVDF-CNT composite, also obtained within the scope of this work. Obtained fibres were analysed by SEM, XPS and FTIR methods. Some measurements of electric properties have also been conducted. The necessary comparison between pure and modified fibres has been demonstrated, although, experimental results could benefit from some interpretation (not just bare images). The author has also provided adequate literature review related to his topic. The work is well-structured and it is obvious that a lot of effort was put in. In my opinion, the content of this work meets the criteria of a master's thesis. English used in this work, on the other hand, is in a very poor state and reading this thesis was harsh on the eyes. The work is abundant with all sorts of orthographic, semantic and grammar mistakes, unfortunate phrasings, typos etc. The author could have at least used any available spell checking software (MS Word built-in module?) to avoid the obvious misspellings. All things considered, I can suggest conferring Mgr. title (or its equivalent) after successful defense. However, an extensive work on English is highly recommended, especially, if the author considers proceeding into PhD studies, where expectations for English proficiency are much higher.
