Author has worked individually. There was some basic cooperation only in the final stage of the thesis processing. Consulting meetings not used regularly. The main problem is not 100% correct understanding of the goal of the thesis. Original goal is “The goal of this thesis is a proposal for the development of strategy of start-up company on the base of comparative analysis of strategic behavior of start-up companies.” The purpose was not to formulate strategy as such (that would be a topic rather for the owner of the company) but develop a framework for strategic management of such type of company. Questions What are differences in success factors of start-up companies in analyzed industry and start up companies generally? What are the most important differences in strategic management in different stages of start-up development? What would be key areas in SLEPT analysis considering the fact that the company is operating internationally?

The main objective of the thesis has been partially achieved. The proposal part is too general and does not specifically formulate the strategic suggestions. The proposal would benefit from a more detailed description of the timeframe, a calculation of the financial resources needed or an indication of the persons responsible for each activity. The benchmarking method was used to analyse competing start-ups. The chosen method is fine, but individual analyses do not contain specific data. Rather, it is a vague description of individual start-ups. The author interprets satisfactorily the conclusions from the conducted analyses. In the proposal section, I would expect a new CANVAS model developed for the AVATAR project. Subsequently, it would be helpful to describe the different parts of this model in more detail. The formalities and terminology used are of a good standard. However, it would be desirable to create the images mentioned in the work directly by the author (e. g. Picture 1 and 2). The citation standard is met.
