The project by Arisa Teriyapirom makes full use of her architectural and urban design skills, and indicates her extensive analytical and architectural knowledge and competence. Despite the language barrier, she managed to gather data to base her program on an urban and architectural scale, she focused mostly on, taking urban context into account. Her proposed solutions are innovative and respond to a very wide range of needs. The ambitious goal of working on an urban and architectural scale in a context that is new to her has been very well met. The student is able not only to pose very pertinent questions, but also to diagnose and seek solutions to the problems of specific groups using architectural tools. Her proposed solutions are spatially attractive and presented in an attractive visual way. The student managed to design in a way that respects the historical context while introducing new spatial values into neglected places on the city map.

Přístup studenta ke zpracování B The design theme chosen by the student continues the research began at the Inclusive Housing Studio class of 2022. At that time, she focused on spatial tools enabling creation of spaces that meet the needs of young adults. Kielce, a city previously unknown to Arisa, proved to be a source of knowledge and inspiration for her to explore this topic. She undertook a series of in-depth urban and functional analyses of the city, traced the ways in which young people use spaces, mapped the main places of their activities. The student explored the topic of demographic trends both locally and globally, linking her project to a broader social and economic context with a European scale. The student decided to reuse and adapt abandoned buildings of the relevant size and potential. Despite the demolition of the building of her first choice at the beginning of the semester, she very smoothly changed the location which involved repeating some of the work. Thanks to ongoing contact with tutors, local experts and authorities, she gathered the necessary materials for the development of adaptation projects. Instead of focusing on a single building, according to her interests, Arisa proposed solutions for three buildings in close proximity. They function individually, forming together an urban-scale structure, providing new quality to the city center.. The program of buildings is complemented by public spaces which have been transformed into green, pedestrian zones, creating a network of new connections, available also for persons with disabilities. The former university building has been adapted for residential purpose with optimal use of its spatial potential. The new functional layout and tenant mix have been properly balanced. The contemporary architectural setting corresponds to the spirit of youthfulness and is visually attractive and functionally extends the residential building with interesting social spaces. The former gallery building has been transformed into a canteen. The student proposed an extremely clear functional layout, enabling full accessibility due to modern requiremenets. At the same time the architectural interferences stem from its earlier form, being a creative development of the original concept. The opening to the nearby square demonstrates the student's understanding of the connection between architecture and public spaces. The building of the former synagogue has an extremely difficult history.  Workshop spaces and classrooms make use of the spatial layout of the former temple. Additional window and door openings, have been designed where they existed in the original design, before the post-war reconstruction. Such a gesture has functional significance, but also restores to the building qualities lost years ago. The synagogue's surroundings were designed in a way that allows it to return to the fabric of the old city. Moreover, the student provided accessibility of the entrance for all the users.

The general idea for architectural system which supports young people entering the adulthood is very interesting and definitely needed in Poland. Arisa conducted the design process well and found the right social, urban and ecological solutions. Previous functions – university and gallery attracted many young people. With proposed in the project functions they may come back to the city centre and create more diverse and vibrant environment.

Urbanistické řešení A The author carefully examined the social and economic situation of younger people in Poland. For her project she selected the city with a potential to attract new young habitants. She created not only the project but an interesting architectural strategy for three existing buildings which can facilitate transition to adulthood. She chose the buildings for intervention thoughtfully – the buildings are in less than 10 minutes walking distance to each other. She reconnected the abandoned sites with existing urban tissue by using interesting landscape interventions with a lot of greenery and wide pedestrian passages. Especially the proposed connection between old synagogue and the city is useful and make site more accessible.
Architektonické řešení B The proposed programme for 3 building typologies is clear and functional. Housing building offers the wide range of flat units which fulfils the need of deferent type of families. She did her best to adjust the building to the people with physical disabilities needs. However the stairs platform structure ( housing building) is not fully accessible for those having moving difficulties.
Provozní řešení B Proposed interventions are well connected with the rest of the city. By designing a system of a new public spaces and creating a new public passages, chosen sites are more accessible to pedestrians and people with disabilities.
Technicko konstrukční řešení C The author decided to use as much of the existing structure as she could with only necessary demolitions which is a huge plus. Unfortunately there is not much technical and construction information included. There is no precise material description. The newly-added structure (platform and stairs) to the housing building is missing construction information.
Formální úroveň B The graphic layout is clear and all the information are well presented. The visualizations and drawings are in limited colour scheme which not always shows the martials however it emphases the general concept and idea.
