The research addresses scientific and practical challenges within the domain of high-speed network security and monitoring, contributing innovative solutions with substantial practical impact. The student’s publications, the deployment of the DDoS protection system, and international collaboration reflect both high scientific standards and practical applicability, fulfilling the standards for the Ph.D. academic degree. In conclusion, the thesis and the student’s achievements meet the requirements for awarding a Ph.D. academic degree in accordance with Section 47 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on higher education institutions and I recommend the thesis for the defense.

Might I ask the candidate to discuss the applicability of the proposed techniques in highly dynamic networks such as Ad Hoc mobile networks, or is there a way to adapt your approach for MANET/VANET, IoT, 5G, and others where conditions change rapidly?

The candidate has shown maturity in participation to research projects, and an ability to take a step back in his thesis, describing well the sense of his research and the common thread of his work.
