Mr Lemaitre Benard Paul Jean Pierre Daniel, Bc. dealt with a very advanced manufacturing topic. His previous education and training wasn´t focused very deeply at the topic, esp. at machining and cutting, however, he achieved very good knowledge and progress based on his interest, effort and stamina. I do appreciate his very good work and energy that he put into the challenging work and his enormous work for getting the best results. I fully recommend this diploma work to the defence.

Diploma thesis deals with an automatisation of selected CNC machining operations. Some typographical errors, poor image quality and problem with tables can be met frequently in the work. English grammar is also not optimal, the work contains many technical mistakes (decimal comma versus decimal point). Parts of the CNC program are very difficult to understand because the work is lack of detailed explanations, schemes or algorithms. The work doesn’t recognizes the ISO standard 3002-1:1982 (e.g. feed, feed speed; it means scalar vs vector). Definition of angle Kr for round cutting insert can´t be accepted. Furthermore: - I miss a calculation of the undeformed chip cross section Ad for many operations, - the same value of specific cutting force can´t be accepted for all different machining operations (there is a variable chip thickness). The conclusion are very general and vague, they should be specified and quantify more deeply. I recommend this diploma work to the defence.
