I consider the work presented to be of the highest quality. Thanks to the results obtained, I expect the proposed procedures to have high potential for further extension, real deployment, and evaluation in ongoing and future exoplanet research projects. I propose this work for the dean's award for exceptional Bachelor's thesis.

Informace k zadání The topic explores the use of data modeling to support exoplanet detection, but it is not currently backed by any ongoing projects. Instead, it utilizes the supervisor's previous experience from similar stellar signal processing and the expertise of the Exoplanet Research Group at ASU CAS. Because it was necessary to gain in-depth knowledge of several areas of astrophysics as well as Bayesian surrogate modeling, I found the topic to be highly demanding, especially for a bachelor's thesis.
Práce s literaturou The student was able to independently search for and process the necessary literary sources, as well as use the recommended materials.
Aktivita během řešení, konzultace, komunikace The student regularly checked the status of his work and the next planned steps. She was well prepared for the consultations and offered active suggestions for solutions to the issues she encountered.
Aktivita při dokončování The work was completed on time and the final form and presentation of the results were duly consulted.
Publikační činnost, ocenění The work was presented at the ASU CAS seminar, where future work possibilities and potential collaborations were discussed.

The thesis work of Ms. Škvařilová is dealing with highly actual topic of using the learning algorithms for analysing of the large data sets from exoplanetary space missions. The results of the thesis work promise application for the future research of the exoplanetary community. I think, for the bachelor thesis, the work nicely works with the AI methods and embraces also physics phenomena from the exoplanetary research. The thesis is nicely and clearly written, only with a very minor note, that sometimes some parts could be a bit more explanative. However, the thesis is of very high level and with interesting and useful results. It would be nice perhaps during the thesis defence to explain the potential for further use of the results which is quite high.

Náročnost zadání The thesis assignment in general is dealing with a quite actual problem of modern astrophysics, in particular exoplanetary science. Nowadays, with space missions, such as Kepler, TESS and later PLATO, we need to deal with large amounts of data. The thesis work combines the light curve analysis with light curve detrending and transit search method. I believe that though Gaussian processes are used in the exoplanetary science, the topic and the assignment of the work is not easy and straight forward. The programming of the analysis of large sets of light curve is still a rather more complicated as many factors also from the astrophysical domain, such as stellar variability etc., need to be considered and taken into account. Therefore, the candidate had to embrace not only programming but also basics of physics and exoplanet detection. I believe, for the bachelor thesis, the assignment is rather more difficult one.
Rozsah splnění požadavků zadání The resulting thesis fully met the assignment. Furthermore, the developed software tools offer an opportunity for further use in exoplanetary research. The goal to develop a software tool capable of analysing of large number of light curves from space missions in order to detect transits was fully met.
Rozsah technické zprávy The thesis is of sufficient length to fully describe the motivation and also candidates novel contribution to the light curve analysis.
Prezentační úroveň technické zprávy 95 The thesis is well presented. It is well structured. Sometimes, perhaps longer explanation would help understanding also for non-expert reader but this is only a very minor issue.
Formální úprava technické zprávy 100 The thesis is well written and there are no obvious typographical errors.
Práce s literaturou 100 The citations are used properly and where required other works are cited. Candidates own contributions are clearly distinguishable.
Realizační výstup 100 The analysis tools are well documented and described. It will be possible to use the tools by other potentially interested users in the near future. It would be desirable to publish all the routines on Github or any other platform where they would be available for the community.
Využitelnost výsledků The work summarises the state of the art of the research field. It describes the motivation for the presented work. In next steps, the methods and new tools development is well described. Results are clearly presented and they will be useful also for the community. Of course, further testing and some focussed use for e.g. long periodic planets of multiplanetary systems or any other interesting system class can be implemented. But it is clear that later with some further updates, the presented new software can be used by the research community. Therefore, the results will be useful and it is an original work of the thesis author.
