HASHEMI, A. 4D biotisk založený na zrání inženýrských tkáňových konstruktů [online]. Brno: Vysoké učení technické v Brně. Fakulta elektrotechniky a komunikačních technologií. 2025.
Amir Hashemi’s doctoral dissertation is focused on the development and optimization of advanced biomaterials and scaffold designs within the innovative field of 4D bioprinting, with applications in cardiac and orthopedic tissue engineering. His work addresses the integration of time-responsive biomaterials and the maturation of engineered tissue constructs, contributing significantly to the development of dynamic regenerative solutions. Throughout his PhD study, Amir demonstrated a high level of scientific independence and creativity. His research encompasses the formulation and characterization of bioinks, the use of machine learning to optimize bioink parameters, and the development of functional scaffolds incorporating nanoparticles and stem cell-derived exosomes. These scaffolds were evaluated for their mechanical, rheological, and biological performance, especially in the context of myocardial tissue regeneration and bone tissue engineering. Amir successfully fulfilled the aims set out in his dissertation proposal and achieved results that are highly relevant for both fundamental research and potential clinical translation in regenerative medicine. Of particular value is the interdisciplinary nature of his research, integrating materials science, bioengineering, and computational optimization. He has actively participated in international research collaboration and scientific dissemination, co-authoring peer-reviewed journal publications and presenting his findings at recognized conferences. Amir’s ability to analyze complex experimental data, his critical approach to evaluating results, and his technical writing skills reflect his maturity as a researcher. I consider Amir Hashemi’s doctoral thesis to be a valuable and original contribution to the field of biomedical engineering and tissue bioprinting. His scientific work meets the high standards required for the award of the Ph.D. degree, and I fully recommend its acceptance.
