HALAMKA, D. Students Start-ups: Establishment and Development [online]. Brno: Vysoké učení technické v Brně. Fakulta podnikatelská. 2023.
This is a good bachelor thesis. The thesis contains all required readings. However, the individual parts are connected less carefully. The work is structured in too much detail, the subsections have up to the fifth level. Some chapters contain only one sentence. The entire work then sounds like a chaotic whole, where everything is stacked without logic and order. Despite the mentioned criticisms, however, I recommend the work to be defended before the state commission. I do not recommend any follow-up questions for the defense.
The main objective of the theses was proposal of the plan to establish start-up company. I see this goal achieved with some remarks listed below. Author is working on market analysis using Porter's 5 forces analysis, he is also working with PESTEL analysis. Overall the analysis could be more detailed and less descriptive. When it comes to external factors, I would expect more detailed analysis of direct competition in the market and sort of related benchmark. There is prepared SWOT analysis, but it is unlogically structured in between the Competitive environment analysis and PESTLE analysis. It is also not clear where the internal factors are coming from into the SWOT. The proposals are based on business model CANVAS. Again, it could be less descriptive and more in the form of realization plan including timing of the step by step realization - there is just rough road map included. Overall the theses is on appropriate professional and formal level, I recommend it for the defense.
