Bc. Reichmanová was working on the topic carefully. The student was given many resources which she was able to compile in a clear way. For the actual program implementation of obtained results and data analysis, the author had to learn R coding from scratch. I appreciate very much the graphical output prepared in R. In the thesis, I particularly value the introduction of properties of random sums of independent binary variables with the selected distribution of the number of summands. An attention was paid to both numerical and functional characteristics of the random variables. In some cases, a two-rows equation meant several days of derivation to see that the result is easy actually. The simulations conducted by the student complement the derived dependencies suitably. There are maximum likelihood estimates of parameters of chosen distributions derived by the author in chapter 3. Furthermore, she was able to briefly introduce the generalized linear models and the quasilikelihood method. In the application part of the thesis, Bc. Reichmanová studied thoroughly which model fits the considered real data the best. The student's knowledge of English is on a very high level.

Evaluated diploma thesis deals with the interesting and hard-to-solve topic. Presented problem is common in the plant variety testing. For example in testing of the frost resistance, when we distinguish between numbers of alive and dead plants from given number of plants exposed to frost – which can be seen as random. Student shows above average abilities and the diploma thesis is of the high quality from the view of statistics.
